Shall I shelf the elf or give him a go?

So I’ve succumbed to my curiosity and bought an elf on the shelf but I’m still not sure whether I’m going to shelf him or give him a go this Christmas…

I remember last year some of my friends posted photos of their naughty elf getting up to all sorts of mischief in the run up to Christmas and thought it looked like fun.  It was only when I saw that it was £30 for the said elf that my interest waned slightly..

My other slight concern is introducing a new tradition when my daughter is 8 – I’m sure my son Rory will absolutely love it but I don’t want Freya to start questioning everything around Christmas.  The other idea I had is that Freya could help me with the elf but again I’m not sure.  Luckily I have only bought the him without the book  so if I do decide to ditch him it’s not cost me too much..

I’ve googled just what the elf is all about and do like the concept so watch this space – I’m already thinking about the fun we can have with the elf raiding the nutella jar – apologies in advance if I bore you with updates about his adventures

After reading the above description I’m sold and don’t think I can shelf my elf.  Countdown is now on till December 1st when we’ll be getting our decorations out and introducing our special scout to our household – here goes..
