Aspara-tastic Music & Food Festival in Worcester

After our debut back garden camping trip the other week we threw our wellies to the wind and signed up for our first family food and drink festival called “Asparafest” in Worcester.  It was themed around  Asparagus although I’m still not sure why that was?All the same it was a brilliant weekend and our little ones loved sleeping next door to fairground rides, Shetland ponies and an arts and crafts tent.

Cbeebies very own Katy Ashworth from tv show  “I Can Cook” was the highlight on the stage  as she was full of energy and gave us all lots of laughs especially at the dad dancing competition.

Sack racing and wearing asparagus hats was next on the agenda and F & R and their little friends loved taking part in the Asparagus Olympics.  They also had a go at zorbing which was fun and of course the obligatory pony ride.

Betsy Harmony was fantastic too and my daughter and I loved dancing on the field to all her songs.

What I loved about Asparafest was that it was a small festival with lots of entertainment for the children.

I’d certainly recommend Asparafest although I was glad to get home to a nice warm cup of tea, a relaxing bath and my own bed.
