After weeks of hearing Freya and Rory singing Harvest songs the day finally arrived this morning for the school Harvest assembly. It’s always a lovely excitement in our household as Grandad comes to their school to do the assembly. My dad has been hosting the harvest at the school for 35 years so it was such a privilege to be able to go and see it myself this year.
After raiding all the aisles in Aldi we decorated cardboard boxes and packed them the night before full of tins of soup, vegetables and even some chocolate bars.
The assembly was lovely and the two of them were very proud to have their Grandad in school. Dad spoke about all the people in Salford that the food will help and it was great for us all to be a part of it.
