If you’ve never been to the Mere Resort & Spa in Knutsford then I’d definitely recommend it.  Not only do they have gorgeous spa facilities with a great selection of saunas and heated lounger beds but they also do fab treatments – the hot stone massage and facial are my favourites…

On my latest trip there at the weekend there were no massages just a visit from Santa, a delicious meal and a pantomime all in the same room! We went last year and had a great time so this year we had a bigger presence and took Tim’s parents and my sister Sarah and her family as well as our friends who came last year and Rabia and family.

The event was so well organised and catered perfectly for children which was a welcome relief.  The children were all fed first and then table by table we were ushered over to the grotto to meet the big man himself aka Santa.  Freya and Rory loved it and Rory even managed to display his latest street dancing moves on the dance floor as well as singing let it go on the microphone.  We all then watched Cinderella pantomime which was great fun for us all.

The décor in the room was beautiful and you felt like you were at a Christmas themed wedding.  Tickets were £30 per adult and £20 per child but well worth every penny as the children were entertained from beginning to end and the adults even managed to finish a full sentence and have a good chat.
