If you love fine food, handmade crafts, pancakes and live music then I’d definitely recommend you head over to Altrincham Markets. We’ve been twice now and it really is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and although you need to have eyes in the back of your head and a quick footed step to grab a table it’s definitely worthwhile. The first time we went was with my sister Sarah, Matt, Abbie and Kate and we had delicious steaks which were cooked to perfection and were a great accompaniment to my gorgeous glass of red wine. On our second visit which was at lunch time we opted for the stone baked pizzas as they’ve been voted as “the best pizzas outside Italy” so we had to give them a try. They were delicious with tasty toppings and crispy base… The food options are great for adults and my only request would be that they could do with a stall that caters for children as the food is often a bit too strong for my two..
There is a small area for the children to play in which they absolutely loved too.
After lunch we then wandered around the markets and Freya and Rory loved the novelty of sitting on hay bales, Freya and Tim tucked into a fresh pancake filled with nutella while Rory opted for a golden syrup flavoured ice cream. The live music was great and had gathered a great crowd, you could even see all the stall holders nodding their heads in time to the music..
Great addition to Altrincham and we’ll definitely be back.. We’ve yet to try out the breakfast selections..

Parking iis really easy too – we found a pay and display just a short walk away for just 50 p for 2 hours…
The address for the market is Greenwood Street WA141SA
I’ve always wanted to go there! It sounds amazing – especially the steak and red wine!
